LEEK Town have swooped to sign a former Football League player who once had a £3 million price tag.
The move, orchestrated by Leek`s goalkeeping coach Jason McGuire, was sealed in a secret trip to Derby last night (Thursday) by Blues manager Lee Casswell.
He’s Lee Morris the ex-Derby, Leicester and Sheffield United striker who has come to Harrison Park on non contract terms.
Morris, aged 32, has represented England under 18s and under 21s and is currently the Derby County under 13`s coach.
His first stint with Derby was a player in a £3 million move from Sheffield United back in 1999.
