GREEN were hit for six by stunning late show from Norton.

The visitors stole the points with four goals in the closing 20 minutes.

Green boss Darren Baker said: “We looked to have the game won leading 3-2, only to throw it away with a catalogue of defensive errors.

“We need to tighten up at the back and I’m looking to bring in one or two fresh faces this week to do the job.” Green led 2-0 at half-time through a double strike from Andy Teague and looked comfortably in control.

“It all started to go wrong when the midfield stopped chasing runners,” said Baker, whose side’s other score came from an own goal.

Baker has suggested his players look to Moorlands rivals and Premier Division newcomers Cheadle Town for inspiration.

“They’d be my choice as team of the season – the players work so hard for each other and they deserve to be top of the table.” However, Baker’s tip for the title is Hanley Town, with games in hand and strength in depth to cope with the run-in.

He added: “If we finish in the top five, I’ll be more than happy. It’s not out of the question, as we’ve still got ten games to play.”
