All Saints Operatic Society in Leek has donated £50 to The Royal British Legion, Rudyard and Horton Branch.

The money was raised during the production of 'Oh What A Lovely War' in May, and the society thought that a donation to The British Legion would be appropriate.

The British legion were also at the show selling their poppy wares before and during the interval.

All Saints Operatic Society Chairman Alec Pointon said: "After a great show in which everybody learned so much about the Great War, the society thought this would be a great way to help with remembrance of all those who lost their lives."
