Shoplifters strike at two town stores

Shoplifters have struck at two town centre stores.

Staffordshire Police were first called to reports of a woman stealing food from Cheadle's Asda store on Saturday, July 12.

The 28-year-old pinched bread and milk as she used a self-service till and has admitted the offence to police.

In a further incident, police are studying CCTV after a man and woman stole £48 worth of booze from the same store over the weekend.

Meanwhile, a 14-year-old girl is suspected to have stolen sweets from B&M, in Tape Street, Cheadle, on Friday, July 11. Witnesses to the crimes should call police on 101.
