ONE of Santa's first stops this year was at Great Gate near Tean where he spent an afternoon in the big barn at Wood Farm.

The barn was transformed into a winter wonderland with real Christmas trees, lights, music and an authentic Red Indian tipi as Santa's Grotto. Farmer Nick Brandrick and family ran the event in support of St Giles Church in Croxden and Headway (helping victims of head-injury) and hosted a variety of stalls and entertainment. After the Christmas Market drew to a close, shoppers took part in a 'Get Ready for Christmas' service in the barn led by the Reverend Kesh Govan, Vicar of Rocester, Croxden and Hollington.
