The latest artist to showcase her creations at a quirky coffee shop in Leek is inspired by the 1950s.
Stafford-based Ruth Allen is the latest artist to be displaying work at the gallery at Spout Coffee Shop in Leek.
Ruth, who works from home, graduated in 1997 with a degree in textiles and illustration.
She said: "My work is based around the theme of both architecture and interiors.
"The main inspiration for the ways in which I develop my techniques, processes and use of colour comes from my interest in the 1950's.
"This has developed over the last ten years and the work of Lucienne Day has formed a vital component in the development of limited edition screen-prints and canvases."
