DOUGLAS Macmillan Hospice's Christmas Raffle has been won by a lucky supporter in Draycott, who has chosen the £3,000 cash prize.

The Christmas Raffle has proved a success with the Hospices' supporters and has raised £78,403 for patient care.

Dougie Mac's Christmas Raffle gave supporters a choice of £3,000 cash or the choice of a festive holiday to Lapland.

Donna Adams, Head of Lottery, said: "Thank you to everybody who has taken part in the Christmas Raffle and for their generous support. Our raffles raise valuable funds for Douglas Macmillan Hospice, which now needs to raise over £10million to maintain our current services.

"Our raffles throughout our 40th anniversary year have raised an incredible £200,000 for the hospice, which just shows the incredible support the local community of North Staffordshire gives the hospice."
