A LEEK High School pupil is looking forward to raising money for charity after being crowned the 2013/14 Warslow Gala Queen.
Amy Hallam from Brown Hills Farm, Warslow, has followed in her sister Hanna’s footsteps, after she was queen four years ago. Amy enjoys cooking, playing basket ball and being around animals.
Attendants to Amy at the gala day were Victoria Astle, Ruby Gibbs, Chloe Rudge and Flora Kanan.
Crown bearer was Jack Critchlow.
Before arriving at the gala day venue at Warslow Village Hall and adjacent ground the queen's decorated float was paraded around the village led by Warslow Silver Band.
Amy said: "The weather stayed nice for the gala day which I really enjoyed. I also enjoyed the wide range of activities at the event.
"I am now looking forward to the forthcoming year as Warslow Gala Queen.
During my year of office I hope to be able to raise some money for charity."
