Trentham 3 Cheadle Town 6

MACAULEY Rowe destroyed Trentham with an amazing second-half scoring spree, netting three times within the space of 10 minutes.

It took Rowe's impressive tally for the game to four and added to two strikes by Jack Derbyshire.

Nantwich Town 2 Cheadle Town 0

Cheadle struggled to get to grips with the 3G surface at the Weaver Stadium and were beaten by two controversial goals.

The visitors unsuccessfully appealed for a handball decision after Nantwich found the net in the first half.

Then came more controversy in the second half when Nantwich increased their lead from the penalty spot, after a well-timed tackle by Andy Coxon was harshly penalised.

Cheadle finished the game with 10 men after Coxon was later sent off after becoming involved in a scuffle - another refereeing decision which infuriated the visitors

Manager Glyn Pattinson remarked: "Absolutely nothing went our way and it was a poor game to watch, but the lads should not forget the previous two games when we scored 12 goals in completing a couple of excellent victories.

"We still have five league games to play and this Sunday have yet another tough away fixture when we face Alsager Town in the quarter- final of the league cup," he added.
