Police have issued another appeal for witnesses after arson attack at ASDA in Cheadle

Officers from Staffordshire Moorlands Local Policing Team (LPT) are appealing for witnesses following a fire at a Cheadle supermarket.

The incident occurred between 8pm and 9pm on Sunday 13 July at Asda, Ashbourne Road, when the trolley bay outside the store was set on fire.

It is believed the fire was started deliberately and officers want to trace two teenage males seen in the area.

No one was injured as a result of the incident.

An investigation is now underway and officers are particularly keen to trace the person who reported the fire to the fire service.

Anyone with information is asked to contact PC Dave Stubbs on 101 quoting incident number 129 of July 14. Alternatively they can contact independent charity Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
