STAFFORDSHIRE Police are appealing for the public to report any sightings of a missing woman from Leek.

Rebecca Daniels, age 36, was reported missing from her home in Beatty Road just before 6am today (Wednesday 7 August) and was last seen at around 10pm on Tuesday 6 August.

She is described as white, 5ft 8ins tall, slim build and has blonde shoulder length hair. She is believed to be wearing dark blue jeans and a long sleeved jumper which has pink and white horizontal stripes.

She is known to walk in the Tittesworth, Ladderedge, Knivden Hall and Deep Hayes Country Park areas of Leek.

Inspector Jon Townsend, Staffordshire Police, said: “We are growing increasingly concerned for Rebecca’s welfare. This is unusual behaviour for her and we have a number of officers searching the rural areas she is known to frequent.

“The areas Rebecca likes to walk in are used by a lot of dog walkers so we are keen to appeal to them to search their memory and report any sightings of her.

“Anyone with information of her whereabouts is asked to contact Staffordshire Police on 101 quoting incident number 88 of August 7.”

The force's helicopter is currently (at 9.30am on Wednesday August 7) hovering around Leek being used to assist in the serach for Rebecca.
