Police and ambulance called to an incident in West Street, Leek

Police and ambulance crews were called to an address in the West End of Leek last week.

The 'medical case' incident occurred in West Street and saw two police cars and an ambulance attend.

A spokesman for the West Midlands Ambulance Service said: "We attended a private address on West Street and took a man in his 50s to the University Hospital of North Staffordshire.

"We had an ambulance and a community paramedic on scene."

A spokesman for Staffordshire Police added: "We were called to an address in West Street, Leek, just before 5pm on Thursday, August 21, to assist with a man in distress.

"Appropriate healthcare support was put in place and the man was taken to hospital."
