EVERYONE at The Cheadle Academy belongs to a House. Staff, teaching and non-teaching, and students belong to Lennon, Turner or Shakespeare.
On Friday, July 19, it was the final countdown of House Points for the year and the last chance to make points mean pride and prizes.
With the whole school taking part in the ‘House British Summer Event’, year groups were mixed and all took part in workshops and competitions that were ‘active’, promoting healthy and active lifestyles, team work and leadership and ‘creative’ and promoting innovation, originality, resourcefulness and the ability to undertake research.
Principal, Mrs Pam Clulow praised students for their hard work and mature attitudes during the last academic year.
She said: "All house members have been a credit to their houses as they’ve strived for academic, sporting and extra-curricular success.
"They have been a particular credit to The Cheadle Academy and, most importantly, to themselves.
"We look forward to another, highly successful year."
At the end of the day individual prizes were awarded and the one they all couldn’t wait to claim, the all-important ‘House Trophy’.
