Pinocchio will be performed at the Pavilion Arts Centre in Buxton

A classic children's tale will be portrayed in Buxton next month.

Hiccup Theatre have joined forces with the acclaimed children's laureate Michael Rosen (We're Going On A Bear Hunt) to bring Carlo Collodi's timeless tale Pinocchio to the Pavilion Arts Centre stage on Thursday, June 5 at 1.30pm.

Live music, puppetry, storytelling, and of course a growing nose, combine in a magical combination which promises to become a new theatre classic for families.

Follow Pinocchio and his grasshopper friend as they set out on an adventure to find some fun.

Suitable for ages four and over and their families, Pinocchio is a Hiccup Theatre/Derby Theatre co production; a partnership which is has been praised for providing shows with 'magic and mirth.'

The Adventures of Pinocchio was written by the Italian writer Carlo Collodi in 1883. The story has appeared in many adaptations and mediums and Pinocchio is one of the 'all time' most re-imagined characters in children's literature.
