Thirty pensioners have enjoyed a dinner and talk courtesy of a fund-raising group.

The bi-annual dinner and talk organised by the Saint Vincent de Paul Society from St Mary's Roman Catholic Church, Leek, took place at the town's Foxlowe Arts Centre.

Organiser of the dinner John Knox said: "The chef at the Foxlowe provided an excellent meal – 'the best we have had' was said on a number of occasions.

"There is always a talk at this meal.
