PAINSLEY Catholic College have been sharing in the season of goodwill as senior citizens of the local community were invited to the school for its annual Christmas party.
When they arrived in school they were warmly greeted by students from the ‘Reach Out in the Community with Care and Kindness’ scheme.
Pat Sowter, Lay Chaplain at Painsley who co-ordinates the programme, said: “The afternoon was very busy, full of festive activities. The music was provided by the school’s musical groups and the catering team prepared the food. This year has been a great success. It is important to share a positive experience at Christmas with people living in the local community who need the help and support of others. The community service programme and this party is a wonderful opportunity for the students to take time to help other people in their lives.”
