Entertainer Rolf Harris has been jailed for five years nine months after being found guilty of 12 counts of indecent assault.

The 84-year-old was convicted today, July 4th 2014 after a seven-week trial at Southwark Crown Court as part of Scotland Yard's Operation Yewtree which was set up to focus on historical abuse claims after the Jimmy Savile scandal.

The youngest of the four underage victims were seven or eight years old and the attacks happened between 1968 and 1986.

5 Years What a joke ...he will do one nights hard in Wandsworth then transferred to a open prison, out in two and a half years, no doubt spending the time writing his bio, I don't know how the judge can sleep at night i really don't

POLL: Are you happy with the sentence Rolf Harris received? This is the trouble with polls that are poorly thought out. If someone thinks he should have been given a LONGER sentence they would tick NO box. If someone thinks he should have been given a SHORTER sentence they would tick NO box. So the vote doesn't tell us much and if the NOs have it, do people think his sentence should have been longer or shorter. Such problems will arise concerning Devolution, Immigration, Europe and as the wonderful Frank Carson might have said it's 'How we ask 'em". PULL THE PLUG OR REDESIGN THE POLL.
