18% of British youths are resigned to never having a full-time job in their lifetime.

Research by the Dame Kelly Holmes Trust shows two-hundred-and-ten thousand young people who are currently NEET (Not in Employment, Education or Training) feel doubtful about getting a job and that around 125 thousand 16-24 year old NEETs feel they’ll be on benefits for another 5-10 years, while nearly one in ten (7%) expect to be signing on for the next 10-20 years.

The charity, which helps young people get into work, surveyed a group of 350 British young people who are NEET.
