PANTOMIME is coming to a Leek town centre venue this festive season – oh yes it is!

The Leek-based Lambdog Theatre Company will be presenting Aladdin and His Magic Lamp at the Foxlowe Arts Centre throughout dates in December and January.

The company is a newly established professional theatre company, working to create magical theatrical experiences for children and their families.

They are theatre company in residence at Leek's Foxlowe Arts Centre and they also tour to theatres, arts centres, schools and festivals across the United Kingdom.

Lambdog's core team is Patrick McConnell and Lynne Payne, both of Leek, who each have more than ten years of experience as professional actors and producers in the world of theatre, film and television.

Lynne said: "The ethos of our company is friendly, approachable, and co-operative and our work would not be conceivable without the dedication of freelance artists and volunteers who come together to work their magic for every project we produce.

"Our productions are written by an award-winning writer and our main aim is to create an intimate theatrical experience for the whole family."

Aladdin is a professional show, with a core team of six professional actors performing, but there will also be local children performing alongside them too, alike to Pinocchio last year.

The cast includes: Patrick as Widow Twankey, Lynne as The Genie, Haley Yates as Aladdin, Alexie McDonald as Princess Jasmine, Beau Pudsey as Steven The Servant, and Robert Jones as Abanazar.

Aladdin and His Magic Lamp will be presented at The Foxlowe Centre, Market Place, Leek on December 14,15, 21, 22, 23, 27, 28, and 29 as well as January 3, 4 and 5 with afternoon performances at 2.30pm.

There will also evening performances at 7pm on December 14 and 21.

For further information and to book tickets, at £8 for adults and £6 for children, call 01538 386112, visit www.foxloweartscentre.org.uk, pop into the venue, or from Leek Tourist Information Centre. Alternatively pay £10 on the door.
