OCCUPANTS of a rural pub thwarted a burglary at their premises last week.
Raiders try to forced entry into The Raddle in Hollington in the early hours of Friday morning. Police said that two males used a flat headed bladed instrument to force open an external door.
They then went to try and forced open some French windows.
However the occupants disturbed the two men, who made off in a dark coloured saloon car.
They have been described as about six feet tall, medium build, with one slightly larger than the other. They were wearing navy blue overalls and had their facial features covered.
One was wearing a balaclava.
Nothing was taken in the attempted raid which was reported to police at 3.48am.
