Youngsters at a nursery have been celebrating the end of their school year with a graduation event.

Staff at All Saints First School in Leek invited parents and carers into their Cheadle Road school last week for a special Graduation Service for the Nursery children who will be moving up to the main school classrooms in September.

The service saw the youngsters, who wore cardboard graduation 'mortarboard' caps, being handed certificates for their year in Nursery Class. They also sang songs and watched a slide-show of pictures of themselves carrying out a variety of activities throughout their year in Nursery.

Nursery teacher Emma Priestman said: "This celebration makes the children feel all grown up and ready for their move into the main school."
