THE END appears in sight for Leek CSOB's time in the North West Counties League.

Saturday's heavy defeat by Division One title contenders Formby dropped the Leek side deeper into the relegation mire.

It was the Old Boys' twelfth defeat in 13 games, and leaves them without a win since early December.

CSOB have conceded 58 goals during that dismal run and are attracting only slightly more than a dozen spectators to their home games.

Formby took the lead in the tenth minute from a penalty, after Jason Carey was brought down by goalkeeper Bradley Moorhead. Mikey White netted from the spot.

Old Boys held out until the 52nd minute when Kieron Brislen lashed home a shot from the edge of the box.

Carey made it 3-0 on 70 minutes, but Old Boys pulled a goal back soon afterwards, when Ollie Mellor side-footed in from close range.

However, Carey scored again two minutes from time and then set up Franny Smith for Formby's fifth, making the Old Boys' misery complete.
