THE Old Boys' overdue return to action at Harrison Park in the North West Counties was a disappointment for their fans.

It was the team's first home league game since November.

Old Boys got off to a good enough start when Mitchell Brown put them ahead after 16 minutes.

But after Macauley Harewood equalised for mid-table Chadderton before the break, the game gradually went downhill for the hosts.

Daniel Shaw made it 2-1 for the visitors in the 57th minute and Matthew O'Keefe added Chadderton's third in the 70th minute.

Daniel Hudson rounded off the scoring for the visitors seven minutes from time.

The Old Boys, currently lying fourth from bottom of Division One, face a tough away encounter at fourth-placed Atherton Collieries this Saturday.
