LEEK are still searching for a winning formula in their defence of the Premier Division title.
On Saturday, it was the turn of Hem Heath to frustrate them on a rain-affected wicket at Highfield.
The reduced overs match ended in another disappointing draw for Leek, who have just one win to show from eight starts.
Hem Heath were skittled out for 117 as seamers Greg Willot (5-48) and Nadeem Malik (4-67) revelled in the damp conditions.
Former Leek favourite Kim Barnett was amongst Malik's victims, trapped lbw for just three runs.
Abul Razzaq (23), John Cheadle (22) and Liam Banks (21) were the principal scorers for the visitors.
Leek had 23 overs to make a winning score and had made 70-5 when stumps were pulled.
Alex Mellor top-scored with 26, as Tom East (3-35) and Razzaq (2-20) applied the brakes with some accurate bowling.
Stone continue to lead the way in the top flight after a six-wicket victory over Porthill Park.
