CHEADLE have escaped from the relegation zone after outwitting Moorlands rivals Blythe at their Cresswell ground.

Former Derbyshire county player Hamza Siddique (79) and skipper Chris Barker (40) powered Cheadle to 207 all out.

Greg Prime (4-51) and Upul Indrasiri (4-56) shared the bowling honours for Checkley.

Tom Simcock (44) and Craig Grimley (42) spearheaded the reply but James Sellers (4-35) produced an excellent spell of bowling to skittle out the hosts for 166.

Cheadle's victory moved them up to third from bottom.

Former Cheadle skipper Shaun Jenkinson (49) top-scored for Barlaston in their 55-run defeat of Silverdale.
