Leek P&T

THE Leek Times was founded in 1870 by Matthew Miller, a printer from Birmingham. The Leek Post was founded in 1893 by Leek Conservatives, but was bought in 1896 by Enoch Hill, who had formed Hill Brothers printing business with his four brothers. In 1933 the Leek Times and the Leek Post merged, forming the Leek Post & Times. One of the Hill brothers, Robert, had two sons. One of them, Harry, later took on the business and ran the newspaper and general printing from Haywood Street, moving to a former mill in Brook Street in the laste 1960s.
