PUPILS at a village school have started a new term with a brand new uniform.
Youngsters at Great Wood Primary in Tean gone back to the smart image of shirt and tie and the colour of their uniforms have changed.
Headteacher Pauline Robins said: "Following the move to our newly extended and refurbished site on Vicarage Road in January 2011 we felt the time was right to renew our school uniform. We involved governors and parents in the consultation and decided upon the new uniform of navy blue jumpers, black trousers and white shirts. The school ties link with the old school colours of royal blue and yellow by having stripes of navy, royal blue and yellow incorporated in the pattern. The children look really smart, they are proud of their 'new look' and parents have whole heartedly supported the change."
