There will be some slapstick comedy at a town's arts centre this weekend.

The National Clown Theatre is to bring all the fun of the circus to Leeks Foxlowe Arts Centre.

The show will be staged in the function room at the centre on Saturday (March 8) with a special matinee performance at 2.30pm.

Combining the comedy of pantomime with the fun of the circus the all new laughter show features some of Britain's funniest clowns with traditional slapstick, magic, cartoon characters, a human slinky acrobat, high flying diabolos, balancing, prizes ,surprises, puppets and even a performing piranha fish. This is the troupes first ever visit to the Arts Centre in Leek fresh from their appearance on ITVs Alan Titchmarsh Show.
