Triple Connection

Comments (0) THREE musical cousins have joined forces to write and record a song to raise awareness and funds for various cancer charities.

Harrison Bostock, aged 12, along with his cousins, brothers Robert Minshall, aged 11, and Toby Minshall, aged eight, have set about writing and recording a song.

Harrison and Robert, who attend Windsor Park Middle School in Uttoxeter, and Toby, who is a pupil at Checkley's Hutchinson Memorial School, have always been passionate about supporting cancer charities, particularly as their grandmother had breast cancer twice, and they wanted to do something to raise awareness and to give something back.

The boys' mothers, Lisa Minshall, from Tean, and Fiona Bostock, from Totmonslow, who are sisters, have for many years been active fundraisers for Cancer Research and the Air Ambulance and organised a sell out black tie event, which took place at JCB Lakeside club in Rocester on Saturday, September 21.

The boys, who call themselves 'Triple Connection', had hoped to perform at the event, but after music teacher and family friend John Wright was unable to attend the event, thus missing their performance, the idea of recording the song came about.

Mr Wright, whose daughter developed breast cancer, set about recording Robert on drums, Harrison on guitar and Toby on bass guitar, in his studio as they performed their song called 'Check your Body'.

The boys sold their CD at the event and are donating all the money raised to Cancer Research.

Anyone wishing to purchase a copy of the CD can contact Lisa on 01538 724244.
