BUILDERS have helped raise £1,000 for charity – by growing moustaches.

Workers at Leek-based merchant Buildbase were all sponsored to stop shaving for at least 30 days as part of 'Man Up Month' last year.

The men all sported a range of different moustaches throughout November.

And they have now handed over the cheque to the Blurton-based Douglas Macmillan Hospice. Pictured, the cheque was handed to Suzi Smith, right, the hospice's fund-raising manager, by Buildbase manager David Oakes, centre, and Darren Turner, left.
