Motorcyclist taken to hospital after RTC on Broad Street in Leek

A motorcyclist was taken to hospital after a collision with a car in Leek.

The incident happened at just before 2pm on Friday, March 28, on the junction of Sneyd Street and Broad Street.

A police spokesman said: "It involved a beige Skoda Fabia and a yellow Sky Jet motorcycle.

"Officers attended the scene and an ambulance was requested.

"The motorcyclist was taken to hospital with injuries not believed to be life-threatening."

West Midlands Ambulance Service sent two ambulances, a community first responder and a rapid response vehicle to the incident.

A spokesman said: "A man, believed to be in his early 20s, suffered leg and back injuries. He was treated at the scene by medics and transferred to the University Hospital of North Staffordshire for further treatment."

Police are appealing for any witnesses to the incident to call them on 101, quoting incident number 349 of March 28.
