CHEADLE dominated from start to finish to run out comfortable winners and ensure an all-Moorlands final when they take on Leek Town at Norton FC on Sunday, May 18.

The hosts opened the scoring inside two minutes when Strikers failed to clear and Dan Harper struck a left foot effort into the roof of the net from the edge of the box.

Despite their dominance, Cheadle struggled to extend their lead.

Andoni Fantis fired over when well-placed and Macauley Rowe saw an effort strike the inside of the post before being cleared to safety.

The visitors' keeper also pulled off some good saves to keep his side in the game at 1-0 down.

The second half continued in a similar fashion, with the Strikers keeper on a one-man mission to deny Fantis from getting on the scoresheet.

However, the second goal finally came midway through the half, when a defender knocked an Andy Coxon corner into his own net.

The third goal was not long in coming and it fell to Jack Derbyshire, who headed against the inside of the post.

As the ball bounced inside, the keeper was unable to stop the ball crossing the line.

Substitutes Jonny Clowes and Blake Louth both made an impact, with the energetic Louth particularly impressive as he created several openings, before grabbing the final goal of the game for himself, firing past the keeper with his left foot.
