A Staffordshire Moorlands charity has had a donation of blankets from a charity shop.

Louise Platt, one of the volunteers of Moorlands Dog Rescue, recently visited the Douglas Macmillan Hospice shop in Leek's Derby Street, to accept the donation from staff at the charity shop.

Yvonne Colclough, head of retail at Douglas Macmillan Hospice, said: "We are more than happy to help out in donating the blankets and hope that they go to very good use.

"We would like to thank all the people who support our Leek shop and others across North Staffordshire."
