A monthly excursion to spot trains will take place this weekend.

Saturday, April 5, and Sunday, between 9.34am and 5.25pm, will see Churnet Valley Railway trains running along the steeply graded Cauldon Lowe Branch.

This year sees a new timetable, with services now terminating at Ipstones and there being an increase of three return trips from Froghall Station each day. Haulage is set to be by home-based S160 no. 6046 following completion of repairs
