VERA our president opened the meeting which was the Annual General Meeting.
The minutes were read and signed. Vera recently travelled down to Stafford to receive our 90th year certificate anniversary of our Women's Institute.
Vera presented her report of her last year as president, and Pauline presented her report as secretary.
Christine our treasurer presented a healthy financial report, and she also gave a report of the Spring Council meeting she attended at Stafford.
We provided our own entertainment for the evening. Members brought along a item of memorabilia to show to us and speak about them.
We heard about a lost wedding ring, an old bicycle lamp, old buttons, a photograph, a hymn book, and a miniature doll small enough to fit in a matchbox, among other things.
Competition winners were Isobelle Sales 1st with her wedding ring and Cynthia Hill 2nd with her miniature doll.
