POLICE and Health and Safety Executives are investigating after the death of a 23-year-old man in Cheadle.
The man suffered fatal injuries in the incident at ACB Hydraulics, Brookhouses Industrial Estate, Cheadle, at around 2.40pm on Tuesday, September 24.
A spokesman for the Health and Safety Executive told the Post & Times that they are aware of the incident and are investigating.
A Staffordshire police spokesman confirmed that officers are working with the Health and Safety Executive to investigate the incident.
She said: "Police were called to an industrial incident at ACB Hydraulics, Brookhouse Industrial Estate in Cheadle, at around 2.40pm on Tuesday, September 24.
"Officers attended the location along with colleagues from the fire and ambulance service and the Health and Safety Executive were informed.
"Sadly, a 23-year-old man was injured and was pronounced dead at the scene.
"He has been formally identified as Joseph Harrison from the Astbury area of Congleton and his family are being offered support.
"Police and the Health and Safety Executive are continuing with a joint investigation into the death."
West Midlands Ambulance Service sent a rapid response vehicle, ambulance, paramedic and BASICS doctor to the scene.
A spokesman said: "We attended a premises at Brookhouse Way at about 2.30pm and sent a rapid response vehicle, ambulance, paramedic and a BASICS doctor.
"The man had suffered multiple serious injuries and it quickly became apparent that nothing could be done to save him and he was confirmed dead at the scene."
