A NEW restaurant in Leek has expanded its hours and is now offering weekly music sessions.

The Napoli in High Street is now open from midday until midnight all week, and 1pm on Friday and Saturdays.

The eatery had initially, since opening its doors in June, been closed on Mondays and Tuesdays.

Restaurant owner Leon Mailey said: "Business is going well so we thought we would open up all week now.

"We have now also launched a new separate cafe menu to the evening menu.

"At the time being we have enough staff to cover the extra hours, but we may need to employ more in the future if things pick up."

Mr Mailey has also introduced a new weekly music slot at the Napoli with local acts performing on Friday evenings.

Leon said: "Featuring an eclectic mix of live music and DJs each week, people can join us and enjoy the music over an authentic Italian meal, or just take in the ambience with friends and drinks from our unique arched bar.

"The kitchen closes at 10.30pm, but the pizza oven stays ablaze all night as we turn up the volume, kick back and enjoy the fantastic entertainment."

Local singer Kayleigh Knight kicked off the new musical interludes at The Napoli on Friday, and this week will see vocalist Charlotte Lawton and DJ James Molden providing the entertainment from 9.30pm.
