A young ensemble will be providing the music for an arts society's season finale concert.
The final concert in Abbotsholme Arts Society's 46th season will be given on Monday (March 31) by the London Conchord Ensemble at Abbotsholme School at 8pm.
The London Conchord Ensemble was founded in 2002 by young artists who are all members of famous orchestras, the BBC Symphony Orchestra, the Royal Opera House Orchestra, the Philharmonia Orchestra, the Scottish Chamber Orchestra and the Chamber Orchestra of Europe. The musicians play both traditional and contemporary music written for combinations of string, wind and piano. They include: Julian Milford on piano, Daniel Rowland on violin, Rachel Roberts on viola, Thomas Carroll on cello, and Daniel Pailthorpe on flute. At Abbotsholme on Monday their programme will be: Mozart - Flute Quartet in C major; Weber - Trio for flute, cello and piano; and Brahms - Piano Quartet.
Tickets are £16 (£5 for under 25s) and available by calling 01543 263304.
