Legend of the Chained Oak film is set to feature in Argentina festival

A FILM based on one of the area's most popular legends is to form part of a prestigious horror film festival in Argentina.

The Award winning short film 'Legend of The Chained Oak' is in line for another top award at this years International Film Festival of Horror, Fantasy and Bizarre, which will be held in Buenos Aires on 30th October.

The festival will run for six days and will showcase a collection of international independent horror films.

Local Author Dan Weatherer, who wrote and co-produced the film alongside Dean Maynard, was thrilled with the news.

He said: "The whole team are very proud of what we have achieved. Being able to tell a story that so many of us grew up with on an international stage is a great accomplishment. The lure of the chained oak truly is international."

Dan is currently hard at work writing a screenplay for a possible reboot of 'I know what you did last Summer' and is all set to release his next collection of horror tales upon.

He added: "I have high hopes for my next collection which will be titled 'Only The Good Burn Bright.' Initial feedback to the book has been extremely positive.

"The plan is launch the book as part of a new brand. It is a very exciting and busy time for me at present."
