ROYAL British Legion members joined pupils from St Leonard's School in Ipstones for their garden of remembrance service.
Reverend Michael Evans led the service, which was attended by parents, staff and residents.
The service was held in the school and then the crosses were taken down to the garden of remembrance in the village cemetery. Nora Clarke thanked the representatives from the various British legions and the children for joining in the service.
Headteacher David Mellor said: "It’s a simple service but an effective way to introduce to the children the way that we remember those who have died serving their country.
"It was nice to see representatives from Ipstones, Rudyard and Cheddleton British Legions joining us for the service."
