LEEK started brightly and a quick break by their backline saw Josh Lyttleton score in the corner.

Josh De Gale grabbed a brace of tries, the first from a perfectly timed pass from fly half Mitch Whilock. Will Midwinter got the final try of the half.

Two conversions from Midwinter and one from Sam Brereton saw Leek change ends 26-0 ahead.

The Leek forward pack worked tirelessly in the second half. Max Hine, Henry Weetman and Joel Hine turned over the ball numerous times keep their side on the front foot.

Leek's front row of Reagan Chell, Josh Sales and Callum McCarron dominated the scrum.

A flowing move over five phases culminated with full back Sam Brereton diving over to score.

Rowan Blanchard capped a fine performance when he burst through two tackles and grounded the ball for a try.

To their credit, Bakewell worked hard all game and finally got their reward with two well- taken tries towards the end.
