A LEEK Post & Times reporter is to be ‘gunged’ at a fund-raising extravaganza.

‘Live Life Let’s Party’ will be staged on Saturday, June 28 at the Macclesfield Road site of Leek Hockey Club.

The event is being organised to raise funds for both Love4Leah and Jo’s Dreams, which are both Leek-based charities

There will be a Family Fun Day between 10am and 4pm; followed by a Live Band and Auction Night from7pm until midnight.

The event will have a whole host of activities for all the family to enjoy including: face painting, bouncy castle, gunge tank, penalty shoot-out, rodeo, henna and glitter tattoo’s, teddy tombola, and raffle, to name but a few.

Love4Leah and Jo’s Dreams are on the look out for nominations for the ‘Gunge Tank’. They already have a football referee, school teacher, bank clerk and possibly a traffic warden lined up for the gunging.

Plus Leek Post & Times reporter Belinda Hargreaves has volunteered to get a gunging.

Belinda said: “I know it’s not going to be a very pleasant experience but it is all for two very worthwhile and local causes.

“So who wants to pull the plunge lever? Get sponsoring me and the one who sponsors the most will get the privilege!”

To sponsor Belinda either pop into the Leek Post & Times in the Smithfield Centre, or call Belinda on 01538 392237.

To find out more about the fund-raising event on June 28 and to nominate someone for a gunging, find the event ‘Live Life Let's Party’ on the social networking site of Facebook.
