STUDENTS across the Staffordshire Moorlands have joined forces to show that you can be in style wearing clothes made out of recyclable items.
The schools, including Woodcroft First in Leek, Biddulph High and Endon High, teamed up with Leek College and Staffordshire Moorlands District Council to turn rubbish into decorative and fashion items The ‘Don’t litter, recycle properly; it’s not all a load of rubbish’ project aims to raise awareness of the impact litter has on the environment and highlight how, with a little thought and creativity, many items can be recycled and used again.
More than 70 students from the schools put their imaginations to good use to design and make garments and other fashion items, which they then showcased in a fashion show at Moorlands House, in Stockwell Street, Leek.
