Officers were called to reports of two males acting suspiciously in James Crescent, Werrington, just before 2.50am on Monday, March 4.

They were reportedly using a torch to look down residents driveways and into parked cars.

A police spokesman said: “Patrols attended and an area search was carried out with assistance from the Dog Support Unit, but no-one was found.

“However, they found a blue and white remote controlled helicopter near The Windmill public house and a red ‘monkey’ motorbike was found at the junction of Moorland Avenue and Moorland Close.

“They were recovered but have not been reported stolen.

“Owners of such items are urged to check their sheds, garages and outbuildings to make sure they are not missing.” Anyone who believes the items belong to them, or anyone with information, can contact Staffordshire Police on 101, quoting incident number 23 of March 4.
