A coffee morning and Easter bingo events are taking place to raise money for the Douglas Macmillan Hospice.

A COFFEE morning is taking place at Checkley Cricket Club on Saturday, March 23, starting at 10am to raise money for the Douglas Macmillan Hospice.

The event has been organised by Andy Carr, owner of Andy Carr Electrical (ACE) Services. The 39-year-old from Bell Tower View, Checkley, is competing in the London Marathon on April 21 for the Douglas Macmillan Hospice in memory of his late father Royston Carr, who passed away in October last year after losing his battle with pancreatic cancer.

On Wednesday, March 27, Mr Carr is also hosting an Easter Chocolate Bingo event at Checkley Cricket Club. Arrival time 6.30pm, eyes down 7pm. Families Welcome. To donate to Mr Carr’s marathon fund visit www.uk.virginmoneygiving.
