POLICE are appealing for witnesses following a road rage-type incident in Stoke-on-Trent.
The incident occurred at approximately 5.15pm on Monday 11 March on the A53 Etruria Road, near to the flyover at Festival Park.
The offender, driving a green VW Polo, has stopped his car, got out and walked over to the male victim’s vehicle. The offender then punched the victim in the mouth before going back to his car and driving off.
He is described as white, 5ft 11in tall with a stocky build. He is aged late 20s to mid 30s with short or shaven blond hair, and was clean shaven.
Fortunately the 30-year-old victim, who was driving a silver Skoda Fabia, did not require hospital treatment but was left shocked by the incident.
This appears to be an unprovoked assault and police are appealing for witnesses to come forward.
