Cheese fans were joined by a local dignitary for a tour of a factory which packs the dairy product.
Seven of Pilgrims Choice's most loyal fans joined Leek Town Mayor John Fisher to see behind the scenes at Adams Food in Leek and help choose which types of cheese would be launched next under the Pilgrims Choice Pick N Mix range.
A spokesman for Adams Food said: "The VIPs were invited from fans on Facebook who have proved they are the most dedicated to cheese and deserved the honour of steering the direction of Pilgrims Choice."
The cheese fans, along with Councillor Fisher and his wife Pat, were given a factory tour.
They were also joined by Nick Hallam for a cheese grading session and learned how to taste cheese and what to look for, as well as which types and flavours are most popular and which work well together.
The spokesman added: "The VIPs chose four new flavours of cheese, which will be put up for a public vote on Facebook to give the wider cheese fans the chance to choose which cheese they see launched.
"The chosen flavour will be the next limited edition cheese to launch as part of the Pick N Mix range.
"The range offers to suit a variety of tastes, and changes seasonally to keep the range fresh and current and to bring something new to the cheese aisle.
"It currently includes Vintage, Smokey and Wensleydale and Cranberry are the three core flavours plus three limited edition flavours Indian Spice, Firecracker and Apple."
Mr Fisher said: "Adams is the biggest cheese packing plant in Europe processing one million packs of cheese per day and employing 680 people.
"Thank goodness they decided to invest in Leek.
"Next time you visit the supermarket or convenience store look out for this brand because they help to put Leek on the map."
