LEEK Golf Club had the privilege of staging the 87th Staffordshire Ladies County Championship.
On Friday, the ladies played 36 holes of scratch golf and then from Saturday onwards the competition went to a knock-out basis.
For the first time in the competitions a mother and daughter - Emily Coleman and Julie Brown - contested the final. Julie was a professional on the ladies tour and spent her formative years as a member of the Leek club.
The final produced a closely fought contest which was played out in horrendous weather conditions.
Emily sank an amazing putt at the 18th hole to claim the title. Around 70 spectators followed the final around.
