The North Staffs Rowing Club will be offering people the chance to get on the water.

A 'Learning to Row Course' will take place on June 3 at Rudyard Lake, near Leek, from 6pm until 8pm.

North Staffs Rowing Club, which is based at the scenic lake, runs adult learning to row courses through the year.

A spokesman said: "Whether you have a desire to race or simply to row in the peaceful and beautiful surroundings of Rudyard we can show you how. Over the six weeks of the course we will take you through the basics of sculling and/or sweep rowing, aiming to get you to a level where you could come along to a club session and be placed in a scratch crew."

The course cost is £10 per session with the first session free. If you are interested in joining the course email NorthStaffsRowing@gmail.com and leave your contact details.
