Latest Cheadle Police updates

CHEADLE Police have issued the latest updates, appeals and incident reports for Cheadle and the surrounding areas:-

Between 11pm on Saturday 31st May and 10am on Sunday 1st June unknown persons have thrown a brick throw the front window of a house on Mill Road, Cheadle.

Occupants have recently moved to location so motive for offence is unknown. I am appealing for any witnesses to the offence to contact PC Dave Stubbs on 101.

At 2pm on Friday 30th May Police were called to reports of a fail to stop road traffic collision on The Birches, Cheadle. Circumstances are that a light blue vehicle believed to be a vauxhall Corsa drove into the side of a blue rover parked at the location causing substantial damage to offside of the vehicle.

The Cora then made off from the scene. It is believed persons were present in the street at the time of the collision and may have witnessed the collision. Staffordshire Police are appealing to witnesses who may have seen the collision or who can provide information to contact PC 5242 Stubbs at Cheadle Police on 101.

At 1.40am on Sunday 1st June a Black Peugeot 306 vehicle made off from Police on being requested to stop in the Ipstones area.

A vehicle pursuit then commenced around the areas of Oakamoor, Cauldon and Waterhouses but the vehicle was lost. Staffordshire Police are currently in the process of identifying the driver and enquiries are ongoing to locate him.

At 11pm on Saturday 31st May Police were called to reports of a serious disturbance at Cauldon Lowe Village Hall where a wedding reception had been taking place. On arrival it was established that a male member of staff had been assaulted at the location and sustained some serious facial injuries and has been taken to University Hospital of North Staffs by ambulance.

A 38 year old male and a 27 year old female were arrested at the scene on suspicion of assault. CID from Hanley are investigating. Any witnesses please contact Staffordshire Police on 101 quoting VDU 0907 of 31/05/14.
